7  Executive Committee Elections

The NNIP Executive Committee is the central mechanism guiding NNIP’s priorities, plans, and activities. Six representatives are elected from local NNIP partner organizations by the partnership and serve three-year terms on a rotating basis. Two representatives are elected annually each December and begin service in January.

NNIP partner staff self-nominate to run in the Executive Committee election and each partner city gets two votes in the election. In the case where there is more than one partner organization in a city, organizations collaborate to place one vote. This policy establishes voting procedures in order to avoid a potential tie between two candidates if the second and third place (or first, second, and third place) candidates receive the same number of votes.
