Case Studies

As the Urban Institute team continues to improve and expand the features of the Spatial Equity Data Tool, we are excited to showcase examples of how future potential users can integrate SEDT into their own work.

Our first collection of three case studies is supported by the South Big Data Hub Seed Fund Grant and highlights uses of the SEDT visualizations, API, and the sedtR R package developed in partnership with organizations across the US South. Each case study includes a narrative description of the important policy initiatives of our partners, a how-to for using and adapting SEDT into specific policy and data contexts, and easy-to-follow code snippets in R and Python.
